What is Family Arts Night?
Tired of doing the same thing every family get-together? Grab the whole family and come to our Family Arts Nights. Most are for all ages and offer the opportunity for multi-generational groups to explore a wide array of arts. In a teacher/artist supported casual and creative studio setting, you'll have the chance to mingle and try something new while connecting with friends and families.
Milk and Cookies (cup and plate)
...for Santa, Grandma, or the nice neighbor next door
December 7, 6:00-8:00pm
Join us for this fun Family Arts Night to create a personalized cookie plate and milk cup. Perfect for after-school snacks, as a keepsake, or for a special visitor over the holidays. Phil Wilson will show you how to create both using a slab of clay. You'll design and decorate it, then leave it here for firing in our kiln. We'll sample some cookies and milk. Feel free to bring a favorite cookie recipe to swap!
Cost: $17 per person, includes all materials, kiln firings, and winter treats.

Oktoberfest Bier Steins (Adults Only)
Friday, October 5: 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Bust our the lederhosen! Bring your (adult) family members to this eve where we’ll join Phil Wilson to make personalized bier steins out of clay. You’ll design, build, decorate and glaze your stein for some tasty German beers. Along the way, we’ll sample some great local brews! Participants must be 21+ years.
Cost: $17 per person includes all materials, firings and beer tastings.

Clay Jack-O-Lanterns (All Ages) -- CLASS IS FULL

Create a unique carved pumpkin that will last for years to come! We’ll teach you all the tricks to making a personalized clay jack-o-lantern. We’ll nosh on pumpkin donuts and hot cider to toast the season! You’ll create, glaze and leave your piece for firing in our kiln. It will be ready in time for Halloween celebrations!
Cost: $15 per person includes all materials, firings and autumn treats.

Harvest Feast Platters (All Ages) CLASS IS FULL

Create a unique serving platter for your special holiday dishes. Join Phil Wilson to discover a variety of ways to hand build a larger platform for your prized dish! You’ll build and glaze your piece and leave it for firing in our kiln. It will be ready in time to share with friends and family for Thanksgiving or other harvest feasts. We'll snack on pumpkin donuts and hot cider to celebrate the season.

Hot Mugs! (CLASS IS FULL)

Cozy up to winter with your own art mug! Join Phil Wilson as he shows you the basics of clay slab hand building. You'll design, build, decorate and glaze your own mug for all those hot drinks! Sample a variety of unique winter drinks with your family--from Aztec hot chocolate to pomegranate spiced cider.
Cost: $15 per person includes all materials, firings and drink tastings.

Soup’sOn! Family Workshop for Empty Bowls (All Ages)
November 16, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Join us for this special Family Arts Night to benefit the Empty Bowls project. Potter Phil Wilson teaches the basics of slab building a bowl with a form. Experiment with decorative techniques then glaze and fire your bowl.
Each person will create two bowls--one to take home and one to donate to the Empty Bowls April 14 event. One bowl will be hand built and the other already bisque fired and ready for glazing. You pick which one to donate! During the workshop, we'll enjoy a delicious soup and bread dinner created by one of our local favorite restaurants.
Cost: $17 per person includes all materials and firings and soup dinner. One bowl per person and a portion of the proceeds goes to support Empty Bowls and the Fresh Food Partnership.
